Douglas Flora is Head of Product Marketing for database services at Amazon Web Services (AWS). At AWS, he has helped drive customer adoption and growth of leading services like Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS), Amazon Aurora, and Amazon DynamoDB, in addition to launching innovative new services like Amazon Timestream and AWS Glue Elastic Views. Previously, Douglas led digital strategy as part of the customer experience team at IBM, helping to modernize the CX for IBM Cloud and IBM Blockchain. He also led product marketing for IBM cloud data services including Cloudant, Compose.io, and IBM Db2 Warehouse on Cloud. Douglas has provided marketing, communications, and analyst relations consulting for a range of technology companies in North America and EMEA including Canonical (Ubuntu), Riverbed Technology, Acronis, and Comptel (Nokia). He earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. In his spare time, he enjoys travel, reading history, and crate digging at local record stores in his home city of New York.
